Operation Harvest

The Harvest Is Plentiful.

For over 20 years, we have carried the love of Jesus to the nations — reaching the lost, serving the poor, and raising up leaders who go.

"Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this little child is the greatest one in heaven's kingdom realm. And if you tenderly care for this little one on my behalf, you are tenderly caring for me." — Matthew 18:4–5 (TPT)

Operation Harvest ministry gathering

Operation Harvest is a Biblically-based missions organization committed to glorifying God by making His name known among the nations — reaching the lost, equipping the Church, and serving the vulnerable in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our work is carried out through six core commitments:

  • Sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with those who don't yet know Him
  • Teaching, training, and equipping leaders to go and make disciples
  • Reaching out to the poor and vulnerable in the name of Jesus
  • Bringing the Gospel to indigenous peoples in their own language
  • Touching the lives of children with the love of Christ
  • Inspiring others to catch a vision for global missions

We want to be the change the world is looking for — impacting and influencing one life at a time. Teaching, training, and discipling as Jesus did. He loved people. We must also.

Operation Harvest was founded in 2002, when the Discua family packed their bags in faith that God would lead, and moved to Bolivia, South America. Bolivia is a landlocked nation bordered by Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil — home to over 10 million people and roughly the size of California and Texas combined. Known as the "Tibet of the Americas," Bolivia's Andes mountains and the surrounding Altiplano region are home to more than half of its population.

The two predominant indigenous groups are the Quechua and Aymara peoples. The Quechua are the largest indigenous people group in all of the Americas — a people who migrated across the Andes and into the Amazon Basin rainforest regions.

Over the years, the Lord opened doors for ministry throughout Bolivia — through children's centers, soup kitchens, houseboats along Amazon river tributaries, pastors and leadership seminars, short-term mission teams building churches, serving in orphanages, and hosting sports outreaches in city parks.

When the Discua family eventually relocated to the United States, the mission of Operation Harvest did not end. Local leaders in Bolivia continued serving through the vision of Operation Harvest — and Operación Cosecha is alive and fully functioning through the local church in South America, which was the goal from the very beginning.

As the vision has grown, Operation Harvest now serves as an umbrella organization — helping to fund and support missionaries in multiple nations. What began in Bolivia has since expanded both nationally and internationally.

Bolivia has faced severe economic hardship in recent years — hardship that only deepened through the COVID-19 pandemic. With most families living day to day and without access to credit, many went without food, medicine, or basic necessities. The struggle has continued.

After nearly 20 years of socialist rule, Bolivia experienced a significant political shift with the election of President Rodrigo Paz in October 2025, bringing a fresh wave of hope to the Bolivian people.

Pastor Santiago
"We know that politics can greatly affect a nation — but we know that God can affect it even more."

Pastor Santiago continues to faithfully serve the local church and community — teaching the stories of Jesus, modeling a life of prayer, and discipling those in his care. He and his family are a constant blessing to the people around them.

As Operation Harvest is able, we provide a special gift each Christmas to the most impoverished families in the community — a basket of food and much-needed provisions. Each year, we also join the community in celebrating Children's Day, honoring the children who fill these neighborhoods with life. If Jesus were still walking this earth, we know He would be right there among them — and so we are.
